MCD’s property tax offices to remain open this weekend

The property tax offices of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will remain open this Saturday and Sunday to facilitate taxpayers in the city who can avail a 15 per cent rebate.

An MCD spokesperson said all the zonal offices and the headquarters of the Property Tax Department of MCD will remain open this Saturday and Sunday to facilitate property taxpayers pay their tax with 15 per cent rebate during June.

Property owners are advised to avail the above opportunity and positively deposit the lump-sum payment of property tax during the above days, he said.

“This will enable them the benefit of 15 per cent statutory rebate for timely payment. They would also be able to avail of other additional rebate and concessions as applicable,” the official said.

“Failure to do so will attract usual interest for the delayed payment as per provisions of the DMC Act and bye-laws framed thereunder. They would also lose rebate or concession applicable for making timely payment upto 30th June,” he said.
