The 42-year-old son of a retired Delhi Police sub-inspector was killed outside his residence in Outer Delhi’s Narela on Sunday night.

The murder happened when Vikas was taking a stroll around 9.30 pm on Sunday. Eyewitnesses said that two men on a motorcycle intercepted him and slit his throat before speeding away.

The deceased, Vikas, lived with his family in Baakner village and had his own business. His father had passed away a few years ago.

While the killers remained unidentified till this report was filed, the police suspect personal enmity to be the motive. Vikas’s brother, meanwhile, has criminal cases registered against him. The police are doing a background check to identify enemies.
