Two persons have been arrested for allegedly killing a resident of Baprola after the latter refused to give them money to buy alcohol. The accused were arrested on Sunday, the police said.

Anil Kumar (26) and Sagar (22), both residents of Baprola, were nabbed from Rajeev Ratan Awas Phase-II. They allegedly bludgeoned Maujahid alias Bablu to death on Saturday.

“A tip-off was received that the accused would come home to take money before fleeing the city. A trap was laid and the accused were nabbed,” said Additional DCP (Outer) Rajender Singh Sagar.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly told the police that they had asked the victim for money which the latter refused to give. “They got into fight after which Anil and Sagar bludgeoned him with a stone,” said Mr. Arya, adding that the police have recovered blood stained clothes and the stone used in the crime.
