Is Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a hurry and does he need to slow down?
According to Headlines Today, that is what his Aam Aadmi Party colleague and psephologist Yogendra Yadav seemed to say when asked by the audience in a talk show if occasionally the Kejriwal government was in a hurry to do things.
“I have told Arvind let’s slow down a bit. But he is too energetic …Difficult to stop him then.”
In another observation, Mr. Yadav is reported to have said that “the party failed to anticipate the loss of public perception after the episode involving Law Minister Somnath Bharti. The party came across as shielding someone who has done something wrong.”
Asked what mistakes the Kejriwal government had made, Mr. Yadav reportedly said, “I do feel we have tried too much. Anxiety, the pressure of being in public gaze has created artificial pressure on the government. We have had a lot to learn.”
Mr. Yadav was not immediately available for comment, but after speaking to him a party spokesman said that in answer to a question Mr. Yadav had remarked:
“Earlier, there were complaints about governments being slow and now there is a grouse that the AAPgovernment in Delhi is in a hurry.
“This is a new complaint. Whether slow or fast, the government is doing good work and a lot of work.’’
