With just over a fortnight left for the Republic Day Parade on January 26, the camera captures labourers braving the Capital’s chilling winds to install incandescent bulbs atop one of the canopy’s of the Raisina Hill.
As a matter of convention thousands of these bulbs light up at the end of the ‘Beating Retreat’ ceremony that is held three days after the parade. Photo: S. Subramanium
