Kidney racket: One detained

June 11, 2016 12:00 am | Updated October 18, 2016 01:00 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

The personal assistant of another senior doctor was detained on Friday in connection with the kidney racket busted by the Delhi Police last week.

The name of the suspect, who is the personal assistant of a senior nephrologist in the same hospital where two secretarial staff members were held this past week, has been withheld.

Joint Commissioner of Police (South Eastern Range) R.P. Upadhyay confirmed that the staff member was being questioned. Sources added that he, too, was likely to face arrest like Sailesh Saxena and Aditya Singh, staff members of another nephrologist at the same hospital.

Saxena and Singh were arrested from the hospital.
