Yogic kriyas, pranayams, oil massage and mud baths kept Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal busy at the Jindal Naturecure Institute here on Friday.

Mr. Kejriwal, who arrived in the city along with his parents on Thursday to undergo 10 days of naturopathy treatment for diabetes and chronic cough at the institute, started his day with Yogasanas to stimulate his pancreas and lungs.

Babina Nandakumar, chief medical officer at the institute, said he underwent a battery of blood tests on empty stomach and after food. “However, the reports will be available only on Saturday as the diagnostic laboratory was closed today [Friday] on account of Holi,” she said.

Mr. Kejriwal got a hot stone and oil massage for general detoxification and lymphatic drainage and castor oil pack on the abdomen and hip bath (hydrotherapy) for stimulation of the pancreas and physiotherapy combined with acupuncture for dry cough. He got massages, chest pack and steam inhalation for the cough. His diet comprised whole wheat chapattis and cooked vegetables and therapeutic soups and juices once in two hours.
