In January 2006, when she had gone to cover an event, the accused confronted her at Kamani Auditorium. He then allegedly assaulted her.

A senior government official also wrote to the authorities to investigating the case. Then I wrote to all the authorities and kept knocking their doors, but nothing was done. I recently contacted a senior official in the Delhi Lieutenant-Governor’s office on whose instructions, the case was finally registered last month,” said the victim.

However, the victim complained that the police had not arrested the accused in the case and that she had been receiving veiled threats from unknown persons.
