Jaga, one of the formerly conjoined twins from Odisha, has started taking oral liquid diet and was even taken out of his room to the corridor on Tuesday, said a release issued by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Kalia in neuro ICU

His twin Kalia continues to remain in neuro ICU and has shown improvement in the form of enhanced limb movement.

Kalia had undergone plastic surgery at AIIMS on November 4 to remove the unhealthy part of the skin flap on his skull. The twins were separated on October 26 following a 16-hour marathon surgery.

The plastic surgery was performed by a team of doctors, including Deepak Kumar Gupta, professor of neurosurgery; Maneesh Singhal, HOD of plastics, re-constructive and burns surgery at AIIMS; and Rajeev Sharma, assistant professor of neurosurgery.
