The Capital continued reel under heat wave-like conditions for the second day in a row on Friday with the Met Department registering a maximum temperature of 43.2 degrees Celsius. The minimum was 30.2 degrees.
Citizens armed with umbrellas, scarves and sunglasses could be seen sipping water and other liquids at frequent intervals on the streets.
While the maximum temperature was three degrees above normal, the minimum temperature was four degrees above normal. The maximum and minimum humidity oscillated between 39 per cent and 12 per cent.
On Saturday too, citizens can expect little reprieve with the maximum and the minimum temperatures being pegged at 44 degrees and 28 degrees Celsius respectively.
The weatherman has forecast partially cloudy skies with the possibility of development of thunderstorms in some areas on Saturday.
