It was a relatively cool day in the Capital on Sunday with the maximum and minimum temperatures settling at 35 degrees Celsius and 21.2 degrees Celsius, which are three and two degrees cooler than the average for this season.
This is a fall from the 40-degrees Celsius recorded last week. The humidity oscillated between 13% and 47% keeping it extremely dry. However, the relief seems to be temporary as the MeT Department in its daily bulletin for the next couple of days shows temperatures gradually rising to 42 degrees Celsius in the next 72 hours. However, it has forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery developments towards the night on April 25 and generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thunderstorm/dust storm on April 26.
The forecast for Monday reads clear sky with strong surface winds likely to occur during the day.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover between 36 and 21 degrees Celsius respectively.
