Rallies against two builders over delayed possession

Home buyers of Amrapali projects and IRIDIA staged protests on Sunday over delayed possession of their flats.

Memorandum submitted

Organised with support of the Noida Extension Flat Owners’ Welfare Association (NEFOWA), Amrapali home buyers took out a rally at the Noida Extension Golchakkar.

Women and children also took part in the protest.

IRIDIA home buyers also staged a protest and raised slogans at Noida against the builder, the Noida Authority and the State Bank of India. Following a notice from the Noida Authority, the project, launched in 2012, has come to a standstill since September 2014.

The agitation began from Rajnigandha Chowk till the residence of District Magistrate in Noida, where they submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through the District Magistrate.

Fraud alleged

The buyers allege fraud and cheating by Kaveri Sahkari Awas Samiti along with the Noida Authority, Gautam Budh Nagar Zila Panchayat, State Bank of India and agents operating on behalf of builders, duping the innocent people.

Cases have also been filed with theNational Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC).
