Himachal to amend lease rules

The Virbhardra Singh Cabinet on Saturday decided to amend the Himachal Pradesh Lease Rules 2013 to include the evacuee and sold unauthorised properties in Shimla and Kangra districts as per the provisions of displaced persons compensation and rehabilitation act.

The Cabinet meeting, presided over by was Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, took into consideration the ground situation that “most of the aforesaid evacuee properties are in use and occupation since long and to avoid long drawn legal proceedings and to realise the use and occupation charges from the present occupants”, decided that certain norms to be examined under the lease rules, 2013 with necessary amendments.

The rule shall be applicable only on those properties which were sold unauthorisedly.

The Cabinet also approved procurement price of apple to be purchased under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) 2016 at Rs 6.50 per kg , split into Rs 2.75 per Kg as handling charges and Rs 3.25 per Kg as sales realisation.

About 1.11 metric tonnes of apple would be purchased under the scheme for which 279 procurement centres will be opened as per demand of the fruit growers out of which 162 collection centres will be opened and operated by the HPMC and 117 by the HIMFED.

The scheme will remain in operation from July 20 to October 31, 2016, an official statement said.

1400 posts

The Cabinet gave its nod to fill 1400 posts in various department including 600 posts of Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) in Elementary Education Department on contract basis, 500 posts of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Education Department on contract basis,108 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) in Excise and Taxation Department on regular basis.

30 posts of different categories for new Government Pharmacy College Kangra at Nagrota Bagwan, 29 posts in tourism department, 26 vacant posts of Mining Guards through direct recruitment on contract basis in Industries Department and 19 posts of various categories in Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation.

The cabinet also approved opening of 37 new Ayurvedic Health Centers along—with requisite staff to upgrade the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Kutlehar to Community Health Centre (CHC) in Tehsil Jawali district Kangra, open Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Chamayana in district Solan and establish ten bedded Ayurvedic Hospital at Paonta Sahib.

The Cabinet decided to take over privately managed ‘Deen Dayal Mahesh Degree College’, Sugh—Bhatoli in district Kangra with a permission to create and fill 28 posts of different categories.

It further decided to take over the service of teaching and non-teaching staff of Kangra’s Swami Vivekananda Gramodya College, Shivnagar, to start Science classes in Government College Rajgarh in district Sirmour.

The Cabinet gave also allowed the use of amber beacon light on top of the official vehicle of Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Dharamshala.

It also approved opening of 16 new regular Veterinary Dispensaries along-with requisite staff, up-grade 13 Veterinary Dispensaries to Veterinary Hospital along-with requisite staff. - PTI
