Haryana clears Rs. 255 crore road-widening project in NCR

The Haryana government has sanctioned a road widening project costing Rs.353.60 crore to improve the State’s connectivity.

Out of the total amount, Rs.255.31 crore would be spent on strengthening and widening of 162.41 km road falling under the NCR area and Rs.98.29 crore would be used to improve and widen 98.27 km roads in the State. The amount has been sanctioned by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund for 2014-15.

Giving details, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that roads at Israna, Badshahpur, Pataudi, Hathin, Ateli, Nangal Choudhry, Bawal, Kosli, Ferozpur Jhirka, Punhana, Sohna, Beri, Indri, Gharunda, Tosham, Bawani Khera, Ambala Cantt, Thanesar, Ladwa, Kaithal, Pundri, Jind, Narwana, Aampur, Nalwa, Ellenabad and Rania would be improved. The roads which are to be improved include Gurgaon-Pataudi road, Farrukhnagar road via Garhi and Shadhrana in Gurgaon district, Haily Mandi Farrukhnagr road via Khandevla and Ateli to Kheri road in Mahendergarh.
