The good news is that women in the Capital are going in for more preventive health check tests in Delhi-NCR. This has also brought to light the fact that half of them are diabetic or in pre-diabetes range. Around 60 per cent women had haemoglobin levels below normal.

This, according to SRL Diagnostics — a leading diagnostic chain — which recently released a three-year long data mining survey (2012-2014) on preventive health check-up done among female patients in Delhi-NCR. The tests in this survey were on HbA1C, lipid profile, haemoglobin, thyroid levels (T3/T4/ TSH), LBC and vitamin D.

The report states that around 26 per cent women had abnormal lipid values and 26.26 per cent had thyroid abnormality.
