Half-naked accused creates a ruckus, held

He was trying to evade arrest

A man involved in over two dozens of criminal cases allegedly created a ruckus in west Delhi’s Inderpuri on May 17 when he appeared in a towel in front of the policemen who went to nab him.

Footage from a CCTV camera has surfaced, showing the naked man being escorted by the policemen to the police vehicle. The police said 30-year-old Virendra Kala tried to jump from the terrace of the house and that his towel came off in the process.

DCP (West) Vijay Kumar said, “Around 3.30 p.m. on May 17, when our team went to arrest him, he went to the terrace and tried to jump. He was wearing a towel, which came off.”
