GTB nurses to hold strike

Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital nurses have decided to go on hunger strike from Thursday, April 27 protesting against the alleged harassment of nursing personnel by the Medical Director of GTBH .

The nurses, belonging to the Delhi Hospital and Employees Nurses Union, have cited the letter issued by the Medical Director on April 25 to Mrs. Molly Das, General Secretary of the Union, “surrendering her services as it is not required in the hospital” as the latest case of harassment of nurses by the Medical Director.

In a letter to the Principal Secretary, Health, Delhi Government, the nurses union has sought his intervention and immediate steps to revoke the action against Mrs. Das. The medical director was unavailable for comment.
