A Delhi court on Tuesday granted bail to suspended Delhi government's Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar in a corruption case.

Special Judge Arvind Kumar granted him bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 1 lakh with one surety in the like amount.

The CBI had opposed his bail plea. The CBI has alleged that Mr. Kumar promoted private company ESPL and helped it get tenders worth Rs. 9.5 crore through public sector firm ICSIL by misusing his official position. The accused persons allegedly entered into a conspiracy to award works to ESPL by designing pre-qualification criteria or without calling for tenders, the CBI alleged.
