Group C and D employees and nursing staff at Lady Hardinge Medical College, Sucheta Kriplani Hospital and Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital organised a two-hour protest demonstration and work boycott from 10-30 a.m. to 12-30 p.m. on Monday to press their demands.

Under the banner of the Joint Action Committee, the protesters are demanding that the hospital administration look into their long-pending demands and they be given a fair hearing. The group has threatened that in case the demands are not addressed they will extend their strike to 12 hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“Several Group C and D employees and nurses took part in the protest march organised within the hospital complex and raised slogans against the hospital administrationrances,” said a release issued by the JAC.
