The Delhi government from now on will conduct weekly review of their ambitious project, Signature Bridge to expedite the work and ensure timely completion. Delhi Tourism Minister, Kapil Mishra, on Thursday said that the project is now their priority and implementation of Signature Bridge project will be checked.

DTTDC, contractors and PWD will hold weekly meetings with Delhi Tourism Minister's office on every Friday for review, an official from the Delhi government said. Status report on Signature Bridge with pendency will be published online every week and Day-wise plan till project completion will be reviewed and status-gap will be measured. The Delhi Tourism Minister will review individual project tenders and cost escalation; plug administrative delays, the government official said.

Following completion of the mandatory procedures for the construction of Signature Bridge amounting to Rs 1131 crore was accorded to the Government of Delhi on February 26, 2010. At present, the work is going on in full swing and is likely to be completed by the target date of June 30, 2016.
