Government schools pass percentage goes up

Delhi Government schools registered a 0.02 per cent increase in the pass percentage from the previous year to settle at 88.67 per cent in the CBSE examination.

While Rishabh Choudhary from SVC Blk Saraswati Vihar School scored the highest in the commerce stream with 97.4 per cent, Surbhi Sharma (GGSSS No.1 Roop Nagar) with 96.4 per cent, Kulwinder Singh from Paschim Vihar’s RPVV scored 96.2 per cent and Amita Yadav scored 92.8 per cent in the vocational stream from Rani Jhansi SKV Railway Colony in Tughlakabad.

One hundred and eleven government schools achieved 100 per cent result against 108 government schools last year and 551 government schools achieved 90 per cent and above against 521 last year. The girls of government schools performed better than boys as the pass percentage of girls was 93.06 whereas the boys registered a pass percentage of 83.05.

The number of students who appeared and passed in government schools increased to 27,254 from 24,196. The result of Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalayas (RPVV) was 99.71 per cent which is more than that of Delhi Kendriya Vidhyalayas (98.02 per cent) and Public Schools of Delhi (92.09 per cent).
