Goods worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in a fire at a godown in East Delhi on Friday morning.

The blaze started at the godown in Vishwas Nagar locality of Shahadra at around 9.45 am and was brought under control within one hour, fire brigade officials said.

Bicycles worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in the blaze.

It took seven fire tenders to bring the fire under control, the officials said. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
