Girl goes missing

May 30, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Leaving behind a purported note that she had set out to commit suicide, a 16-year-old girl from North East Delhi’s Khajuri Khas has been missing since Saturday, days after her class tenth result was declared.

According to the police, the note was kept on her parents’ bed and mentions that she was going to attempt suicide due to her poor performance in the examinations.

Her family said that they were not at home when the girl left and that nobody in the neighbourhood too saw her leaving. They had not seen the note as none of them went to that side of the house but kept waiting for her.

Hours later, when the girl did not return home, her mother went to the room and saw the note on the bed.

The suicide note added that she had not cleared her class tenth exams and that she cannot face her family anymore. She had not expected such a result and now that nothing can be done, she wanted to end her life.

The matter was then reported to the police.

The concerned family’s topmost priority now is finding the girl and they claim that they would have accepted her results no matter how she fared.
