A 22-year-old woman has alleged that two men raped her over the last one year. The victim and the accused — Panchal and Monil — are from Ghaziabad. In her complaint, the victim has alleged that the duo promised her of getting a job.

On Thursday, the victim approached the New Delhi district police alleging that she was gang-raped by the two at the parking of Ashoka Hotel this April following which a case was registered at the Chanakyapuri police station. The accused duo have not been arrested so far.

Sedative-laced drink

“The girl claims she was offered a sedative-laced drink when she was travelling with the two men on April 25. When she was unconscious, Panchal and Monil allegedly took turns to rape her. When she woke up, she found herself in a car at the parking of Ashoka Hotel,” said a police official.

The complainant added that besides promising a job, the accused also offered Rs.20,000 per month not to reveal the incident to anyone.

“She claims she was again raped near Kashmere Gate ISBT on June 3, and several times between the dates near Hindon Vihar. The woman was threatened with dire consequence if she informed her family members or approached the police,” said the officer.

Case registered

The victim, however, shared her ordeal with her mother who advised her to seek police action against Panchal and Monil. Based on her statement, a case was registered on Thursday. She gave her statement in court on Friday.
