Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday accused the State government of putting up a “weak” argument in the high court against suspended IAS officer Ashok Singhvi, who is facing charges in a mining scam and was released on bail on Thursday.
“Singhvi would not have got the bail had the government referred the mining scam case to the CBI. Congress had demanded that the case should be transferred to the CBI,” Mr Gehlot said in a statement.
The two-time Chief Minister said that the government had put up a “weak” counter against Singhvi’s bail plea following which he got bail from by the High Court.
