Cold wave conditions continued to prevail in the Capital with the maximum temperature recorded at 17.5 degrees Celsius, which was five degrees below normal, and the minimum at 6.4 degrees Celsius, which was two degrees below normal.
Although there was light to dense fog across the city, air operations largely remained normal. Rail services were, however, badly hit due to the foggy conditions prevailing over North and Central India including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, north Madhya Pradesh and Bihar.
While the Taj Express from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Jhansi was cancelled on Sunday, many others like the Howrah Rajdhani, Bhubaneswar Rajdhani and Sealdah Rajdhani were rescheduled. Besides, over two dozen trains operating from and through Delhi were reported to be running late by over 12 hours.
