A student of Delhi University’s Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) clinched a salary of Rs.35 lakh per annum, the highest figure in this year’s placement season but a huge drop from last year’s Rs.61 lakh.
This year, the 217 students who sat for placements got a total 236 offers, with an average salary of Rs.17.04 lakh.
The top 50 per cent of the offers were in the range of Rs.20 lakhs, with 52 students receiving more than this amount. Around 60 pre-placement offers were also made, a 58 per cent increase from last year.
There was also a 25 per cent increase in the number of offers made in the field of consulting and general management, and there were five more offers received in the e-commerce sector compared to last year.
