Five injured in clash over land in U.P.

Five persons were injured in a clash between two groups over a land dispute in Nagla Kazi village in Sakeet kotwali here, the police said.

The clash broke out on Sunday between Abbal Singh and Gajraj Singh over a plot of land in the village. Heated words were followed by the supporters of both throwing bricks at each other and exchanging lathi blows resulting in injuries to five persons, the police said.

Abbal Singh and his brother Sarman Singh have also been accused of using firearms, the police said.

The condition of Abbal Singh and Gajraj Singh is stated to be serious.

Both sides have lodged FIRs against each other, police said, adding that no arrest has been made so far.- PTI
