Faulty meter reading tops DJB complaints

Over 40 per cent of complaints resolved by the Delhi Jal Board during a recently concluded grievance redressal drive pertained to faulty meter readings, the water utility said on Thursday.

As per a DJB statement, 3,026 complaints were received by zonal offices throughout the special camp that was held from May 2 to 30. Of a total of 5,655 complaints received, 4,597 were resolved. The remaining will be addressed within a few days, said the DJB.

A total of 42 per cent of the complaints resolved were regarding faulty meter reading. Problems with billing (17.2 per cent), metering (14.3 per cent), change of address (12.6 per cent) and arrears (6.4 per cent) were the other top complaints.
