The Delhi Police registered a case of kidnapping after a young woman claiming to be daughter of the farmers' leader Manveer Singh Tewatia, who has been accused of inciting farmers of Bhatta-Parsaul and Achheypur villages in Greater Noida to violence, alleged that he was kidnapped from New Delhi on Saturday.

Accompanied by some politicians, the woman, Radha, reached the Tilak Marg police station in the morning and lodged a complaint alleging that an Uttar Pradesh Police team kidnapped her father and also expressed apprehension that he could be killed. However, in the written complaint, she mentioned her father's name differently. When a police officer pointed out the discrepancy, the complainant vanished from the scene.
