The uploaded certificates will be evaluated only for students who qualify for the final trials.

Students applying for admission via the Extracurricular Activity Quota (ECA) will not be given more than 15% concession/relaxation in academic merit for the last relevant cut-off list, said Delhi University (DU) in its admission norms for ECA admissions. The students will also have to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria of the programme.

When registering for the ECA quota on the online portal, students will be required to upload only one certificate (preferably the highest achievement one) issued between May 1, 2015 and April 30, 2018 in each activity they wish to apply for as a proof of their involvement in the relevant activity. The charges for registration in ECA will be ₹100 per event that the applicant wants to appear in trials for.

Two-level trials

Trials will be held at two levels — preliminary trials and final trials. The uploaded certificates will be evaluated only for students who qualify for the final trials. “The applicants must carry all the relevant certificates in original [and a self-attested photocopy] for evaluation at the time of the final trial. Weightage in the final trials will be given to the trials and certificates in the following ratio: trials: 75%, certificates: 25%,” said the university.

The applicant must secure at least 50% marks in the final trials (38 out of 75) to be eligible for the final list of selected candidates.

To ensure participation in activities while in college, the university said that all selected candidates will have to submit an undertaking at the time of admission stating that the candidate will perform for the college and university for the entire period of the candidate’s undergraduate programme of study.

The dates for ECA trials have not been released yet by the university.
