Durga Puja celebrations in Noida

Lotus Boulevard Sanskritik Samity at Sector 100, Noida, is organising its first Durga Puja celebrations this year.

The five-day event, which started on Tuesday, will continue till September 30.

Laced with flavours of Bengal, the celebrations are not just inclusive but also eco-friendly. For some of the cultural events that will run parallel to the Puja, prizes include Tulsi plants. Even the quiz questions are scribbled on the back of discarded business cards.

The Samity invited 12 children from Saksham, an NGO working for the visually impaired, for the Puja inauguration. “This festival is Bengali in origin but inclusive by nature. It is difficult to explain what Durga Puja means to Bengal. We wanted to give everyone a glimpse of the euphoria that grips Bengal during the Puja,” LBSS president A.K. Sajjan said.
