: A 20-year-old student of Delhi University’s Miranda House allegedly attempted suicide by jumping in front of a train at the Indraprastha metro station on Thursday.

Jitendra Mani, DCP (Metro), said the woman took the extreme step because she was depressed over poor performance in an exam. At 2.20 p.m. on Thursday, when a metro was coming to a halt, she jumped on the tracks.

“The woman, however, landed parallel between the tracks, and was saved,” said the officer.
