DU colleges start closing their doors in second list

Marginal dip in cut-offs across colleges witnessed; third list to be out on June 30

Delhi University released the second cut-off list for admission to merit-based undergraduate courses on Sunday. While several colleges like Hindu College, Lady Shri Ram College, Miranda House, Gargi College and Ramjas College closed admission to many of their courses in the second list, there was a marginal fall in cut-off across colleges.

Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in the second cut-off list for BCom (Honours) fell to 97.37 from 97.75 and BA (Honours) Economics fell to 98.25 from 98.5.

At Hindu College, BA in History, Sanskrit, Political Science and BA(Programme) were closed with only a marginal dip in Economics and English to 97.75 from 98 and 97.5 from 98 respectively.

At LSR, admission to BA in Economics, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and BCom (Honours), we closed with a marginal drop in the other courses. BA(Programme) which had the highest cut off of 98.75 in the first list fell to 97.75 in the second.

Admission formalities

The DU Registrar said that all eligible candidates who meet the requirements notified in the second admission cut-off list are advised to complete their admission formalities in the colleges concerned by June 27.

Applicants who have cleared the cut-off will have to login to his/her portal and select the appropriate course and college to generate the admission application form and take a print out of it.

They will then have to proceed to the college for admission with their original documents and self-attested photocopies of the documents. The complete list of document is available on the DU portal. Once an applicant completes formalities in the college, the principal of that college will approve the application online.

This will generate an option of fee payment on the dashboard of the candidate. The candidate will then have to login again and pay the admission fee online using the link available in the dashboard.

Once the fee is paid successfully through the link provided on the dashboard, the admission process to that particular college is complete.

For document verification and approval of admission, the timings for morning college is 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and evening college is 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Online payment may be done till noon of the next day of the deadline set for the cut-off in which the applicant is taking admission.

Third list will be out on June 30.
