The much-awaited draw of lots for the Delhi Development Authority Housing Scheme-2014 will take place on November 17.

The DDA announced on Friday that it will conduct the draw on Monday for the scheme that offers over 25,000 flats. The draw will begin at 11.30 a.m.

Applicants can view the draw live on >www.ddadrawlive.in . The land agency had earlier announced November 5 as the tentative date for the draw, which was then postponed to November 8 and then November 12.

The date had to be shifted in view of the DDA receiving forms from banks much later the dates announced earlier. The scheme was launched on September 1 and closed on October 15.

A committee headed by a retired High Court judge and two IT professionals — one from the Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi and the other from the National Informatics Centre — will supervise the draw.

The housing scheme is the DDA’s biggest scheme till date, with 25,034 flats on offer in different categories. Of these, 22, 627 flats are one-bedroom flats. Most flats are from the old inventory, including surrendered flats.

In order to make its biggest scheme a success, the DDA took several measures like empanelling 13 banks for submission of forms and uploading a video on its website on how to fill up the form.
