Social organisation Lok Abhiyan has organised a “Face to Face” programme between Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Deepak Pental and students/parents on admission-related issues this coming week.

The interaction will take place on Tuesday at Constitution Club on Rafi Marg.

During this programme, that would begin at 4 p.m., students and their parents would be able to directly pose questions to the Vice-Chancellor about admissions to Delhi University, Lok Abhiyan president and former Union Minister Vijay Goel said here on Saturday.

Apart from Prof. Pental, Dean of Delhi University S. K. Vij and Deputy Dean G. S. Tuteja have also been invited to answer queries from students and parents, he added.

Stating that Lok Abhiyan would continue to organise such interactions between the Government and the public, Mr. Goel said this Tuesday's programme would accord an opportunity to students desirous of taking admission in Delhi University to clear their doubts and find the answers to their problems.

An Information Centre would also be established outside the programme hall to give information to the admission seekers about the admission process.

Demanding that the seats in various courses of Delhi University be increased, Mr. Goel said the increase so far was very nominal in comparison to the demand and the number of applicants. “The colleges running only in the morning shift can also open evening shifts to absorb more students. At present only 11 colleges have evening shifts,” he pointed out.
