Delhi Police Commissioner Y.S. Dadwal on Saturday reviewed the security arrangements at three stadiums in the Capital for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
Accompanied by several senior officers, Mr. Dadwal visited Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Talkatora Stadium and Thyagraja Stadium and took stock of the security arrangements. Though several mock drills have already been carried out here, the security arrangements for the upcoming Games have now been put in place for on-ground review.
“I am quite satisfied with the arrangements....We are ready. All necessary aspects have been touched upon... but whatever arrangements are made by the police, it can be successful only with the co-operation of the people,” said Mr. Dadwal He said the police were working in “close coordination” with the security agencies, including National Security Guards, and the personnel were being imparted behavioural training to deal modestly with the visitors.
