Crime against people from the Northeast has gone up more than five times in the past four years, reveals a Delhi Police data.
From 27 cases in 2011, the number went up to 73 in 2013. The Delhi Police have registered 139 cases of crime against people from the Northeast till November 12. A total of 847 calls were received and out of them 645 were criminal cases. Of these, 139 were eventually turned into FIRs.
The maximum calls related to crime against people from the Northeast – 249 – were received from South Delhi where the two young men were found dead on Thursday.
