Cops booked for staged raid

Three Delhi Police constables have been arrested for barging into a house in Dwarka and demanding Rs. 20 lakh from the owner.

According to the police, the constables were identified as Sandeep (26), Dinesh Kumar (25) and Prashant (30). Sandeep is posted in the security unit while Dinesh and Prashant are posted at Special Cell and Delhi Armed Police’s 4th Battalion respectively. All three have been arrested under charges of extortion and house trespass.

“The complainant said that three young boys had forcefully entered his flat flashing their Delhi Police identity cards and started a search. They claimed that they had information about some wrongful activities being undertaken in his flat and demanded Rs. 20 lakh and threatened by waving a pistol,” an officer said.
