A Delhi Police Head Constable was allegedly assaulted and his gold chain snatched by four persons when his car brushed against another vehicle in Rohini on Sunday.

A senior police officer said that the incident took place late at night when Mohan Lal was returning to his house in Rohini Sector-18.

“As he entered his colony, his car brushed against another vehicle. An argument took place between him and the four occupants of the other car. This led to a fight. They beat the Head Constable and snatched his gold chain. After a while, the four persons returned to the colony with some of their supporters,” said the officer.

It is alleged that the four men also had an argument with a security guard of the colony and also beat him up. Later, Mr. Lal, along with colony residents who came to save him, fought with the other party. Some people were injured.

A case has been registered at the Samai Pur Badli police station.
