Congress seeks resignation of Law Minister

April 29, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Accusing the ruling Aam Aadmi Party of breaching the trust of people, the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) on Tuesday demanded immediate resignation of Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar for allegedly using the forged law degree. The DPCC alleged that Mr. Tomar had played fraud upon the people.

DPCC president Ajay Maken also held Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal responsible for not taking action against Mr. Tomar despite having “sufficient and substantial knowledge” in this regard. “The moment this fact (fabricated degree) came to the knowledge of Mr. Kejriwal, he was suo motu required to take action against Mr. Tomar,” he said. Mr. Maken announced that Congress workers would hold a massive demonstration outside the Delhi Secretariat on Thursday to press for the demand for Mr. Tomar’s resignation.
