Congress leaders demand Brar’s expulsion

Several Punjab Congress leaders and legislators on Sunday sought the expulsion of Jagmeet Singh Brar from the party for alleged “gross indiscipline and rebellious activities”.

In an appeal to the party high command, the leaders alleged that Mr Brar had embarked upon a “dangerous and destructive path” to “sabotage” party’s ongoing campaign in the State.

“Jagmeet Brar must be expelled at the earliest,” the party leaders demanded in a party release.

The release quoted names of leaders who signed the appeal to the high command for Mr Brar’s expulsion which include, Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Laal Singh, Ashwani Sekhri, Kuljit Nagra, Raja Warring, Brahm Mohindra, Preneet Kaur, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Jagmohan Singh Kang, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Rana Gurjeet Singh, Kewal Dhillon, among others.

“The sooner he is expelled from the party, the better it will be,” the leaders said in an appeal to the party high command. -- PTI
