Complaint against CM: order on May 31

A Delhi court on Saturday reserved its order on a criminal complaint against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly using defamatory and seditious words against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to the complaint, who is an advocate, the Chief Minister had used the words ‘coward’ and ‘psychopath’ for Mr. Modi after a raid by the CBI at the office of Delhi Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar last December.

Metropolitan Magistrate Abhilash Malhotra reserved the order for May 31 on conclusion of arguments by the complainant.

According to the complainant, Mr. Kejriwal’s use of these words against the Prime Minister on his Twitter account were defamatory and seditious, and could cause disharmony and disaffection.
