The Delhi Police on Friday questioned Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Private Secretary Bibhav Kumar again, and an Aam Aadmi Party worker Vivek Kumar Yadav, for nearly five hours in connection with the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash during a meeting at the CM’s residence in February.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Harendra Singh said that the two were made to sit face-to-face and were quizzed on the purpose of the meeting, which the duo claimed was about how 2.5 lakh families had not been able to get their rations under the Public Distribution System in January due to faulty implementation of Aadhaar.
Mr. Prakash, however, had said that he was summoned to discuss why there was difficulty in releasing ads to mark the AAP’s three years in power.
“They were called in at 4 p.m. and were questioned till 9 p.m. Both were instrumental in organising the meeting. They were questioned about who called the MLAs,” said Mr Singh.
The police said that Mr. Yadav is a party functionary who talks to all the MLAs on behalf of the CM.
The police added that the duo were not present at the premises during the February meeting.
