Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday offered more help to the people of Nepal affected by the recent earthquake, while pointing out that the quake victims who were in the Capital could get medical treatment in the government hospitals.

Mr. Kejriwal told the Ambassador of Nepal to India Deep Kumar Upadhyay, who met him at the Delhi Secretariat here, that the Delhi Government would provide the Himalayan country with portable ventilators and portable X-ray machines. Mr. Upadhyay had made a request for medical equipment.

The Ambassador thanked the Chief Minister and people of Delhi for sending relief to Nepal so far and pointed out that the people in his country were living in fear because of numerous aftershocks.

Mr. Upadhyay sought the Delhi Government’s help in maintaining a database of the people of Nepal in India. Mr. Kejriwal directed the officials to do the needful and said both the software and hardware support would be provided to Nepal for the purpose.
