Fire breaks out in building in Delhi's Connaught Place

A massive fire broke out in a building in Connaught Place area on Monday.

According to Delhi Fire Service officials, the fire broke out at NIIT centre located in Rama building.

Fifteen fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

“Fifteen fire tenders are at the spot. The situation is under control. No casualties have been reported so far,” said Deputy Chief Fire Officer Vipin Kental.

“There is a fitness centre above the office on the second floor. People there saw smoke and informed the fire department,” he said.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
