With a need being felt for more professionals in the realty space, real estate developers’ apex body CREDAI is planning to set up an institute for research and professional studies.
Plans are also afoot to provide scholarships to students pursuing higher education.
The CREDAI Institute of Real Estate Research and Professional Studies will come up in Ahmadabad near iCreare- the International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology.
While classes in the institute are scheduled to begin from June 2014, it will have tie-ups and affiliations with international institutes having expertise in the real estate domain.
Under the Educational Scholarship Scheme, CREDAI will offer scholarships to deserving students pursuing full-time degree/post-graduate degree courses in civil engineering or management degrees related to the real estate sector at college or institute recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education.
Real estate and construction industries play a pivotal role in the nation’s development by supporting over 250 industries and contributing 11 per cent to the country’s GDP.
