BSES ‘Citizen's Charter' released

September 17, 2010 03:59 pm | Updated 03:59 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit launched the BSES Rajdhani Power Limited's “Citizen's Charter” at Delhi Secretariat on Thursday.

The charter prepared in collaboration with the Cell for Consumer Education and Advocacy Society contains consumer-friendly information including new services launched, energy conservation tips, safety tips and important numbers of BSES officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Dikshit said the service standards of BSES discoms have vastly improved during the past eight years. “Today being World Ozone Day it is important to once again inform Delhiites on the need for saving the environment and using all resources, including electricity judiciously,” she said.

“I am also a firm believer of public consultation and constructive feedback from consumers on public services. BRPL Citizen's Charter is an excellent model to replicate in all such public services,” she added.

The Chief Minister also expressed hope that the Citizen's Charter will help further strengthen ties between BSES and its consumers.
