Making headway in one of the most famous unsolved cases of recent times – the Rs.1.5 crore heist-cum-murder at an ATM in Kamla Market – police have zeroed in on at least two men suspected to be part of the conspiracy.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Madhur Verma said that one of them is lodged in a jail in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh but did not divulge on what role they played in the conspiracy.
“We will seek their transit remand and bring them to Delhi for questioning to get more clarity,” said Mr. Verma.
Sources said one of the accused has been identified as Ashutosh Mishra who is currently lodged in Aligarh jail in Uttar Pradesh, while another person Ata-Ullah may also be brought.
On November 29, 2014 two unidentified bike-borne men had gunned down a security guard and robbed Rs 1.5 crore from an ATM kiosk in Kamla Nagar. The custodians of a van belonging to a private firm were refilling money into the ATM, when the unidentified two men arrived and shot dead the security guard and fled with a bag containing money.
