A Class IX student of a private school in Sector 48 here suffered serious head injuries after he ‘fell’ from the third floor of the building on Tuesday. No case has been registered so far.

Cause unknown

Though the exact reason behind the incident is unknown, the police said the boy was reportedly upset over his father’s refusal to buy him a motorcycle.

The 15-year-old boy allegedly fell from the third floor of the building soon after the morning assembly.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and later shifted to Medanta Hospital. The student is said to be unfit for statement.

Station House Officer, Badshahpur, Inspector Rajender Kumar, said the police received information about the incident from the hospital authorities but are yet to receive a complaint in this connection.

“We have not received any formal complaint. The boy is not fit for statement and has undergone surgery at the hospital. The exact sequence and the reason behind the incident are unknown,” said Mr. Kumar.
